Open House 2010 took place last wed and I’d sincerely like to thank those who’ve helped out in the preparation and on that day itself for making the event a success! I’m not sure about the rest, but it was surely a tiring period for me.
The initial headache faced was to brainstorm fund raising ideas to be carried out on that day. It was all set on dunking machine at first but somehow, it got rejected along the way. Finally, all was decided that we shall create a bread pledge card where people could pen down what they wanna say and stick the pledge card on a large s-lc collar pin design.
During the s-lc chalet, the banner was being created out of bread wrappers and thanks to everyone who contributed their time and effort and bread wrappers. Just when I thought almost everything was ready, I was wrong. On the fist day school re-opened, we faced some problems with the banner. But thankfully, things started to work out the very next day (a day before the open house), once again thanks to those who helped out in the preparation.
Finally the day I’ve been waiting for. Well, I didn’t expect the sales of the bread pledge cards to reach a sum of $126 and the total amount collected for Open House was about $380! YEAH!
Now that it's all over, i'm very relieved that everything ended well. Thanks again to everyone who showed their support in one way or another. Open House 2010, gone but always remembered.
